Sobita Gautam is a lawyer, former television host, and founding central committee member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, serving as Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Born in June 1995 in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, Dolakha, she holds a BA LLB from National Law College (Tribhuvan University) and is pursuing an LLM in International Law. Before politics, she hosted the health program "Swasthya Sarokar" on Nepal Television for four years. First elected from Kathmandu-2 in 2022, she won a landslide victory from Chitwan-3 in 2026 with 59,277 votes, defeating Renu Dahal by 38,662 votes — one of the largest margins in the election.
