Kshitiz Thebe hails from Sinam in Sirijangha Rural Municipality, Taplejung. Coming from a political family, he completed his schooling in Sinam and earned a bachelor’s degree in Kathmandu. Thebe began politics through the ANNFSU student wing and later served as central member, secretary, vice‑chair and twice chair of the Youth Association Nepal before being elected to the UML’s central committee. His parents Bhupendra and Urmila Thebe were also lawmakers. The 2082 election is his first electoral contest, and he won Taplejung‑1 with more than 13,000 votes.
