Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai

Biography

Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai is an experienced politician who began his career with the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and later joined the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum and Janata Samajwadi Party before contesting the 2082 election under the UML symbol. He first became an MP at age twenty‑eight and served as Labour and Transport Minister at age thirty‑one. He has since contested several elections, winning in 2064 and 2074 and losing in 2070 and 2079. Rai studied political science and is currently a general secretary in his former party. In the 2082 election he won Banke‑2 by nearly six thousand votes.
