Rajendra Kumar Rai is a veteran communist leader from Dhankuta. He joined the CPN‑UML’s student wing in 2035 BS and later served in various roles, including district chairman of the party from 2066 to 2075 BS. Rai was first elected to the House of Representatives from Dhankuta‑1 in 2074 BS and again in 2082 BS. He has also served as a member of the party’s area and central committees.
